Genesis 2 : 8 (New Living Translation)

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”

Babies don't keep....

Look how much she's grown!

Sonya found this on another mom's blog. I'm PROUD that my house is dirty and our fridge is empty and our clothes are clean but piled up high in the laundry room and my bed hasn't been made in months because I only get about 4 hours in the evening to soak up Gracie when she's 3 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days old. And then it's gone! Then she's 3 months, and 3 weeks old!!! Gosh it's going by so fast... Love you baby girl!

Song for a Fifth Child

By Ruth Hulburt Hamilton
Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth
empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
hang out the washing and butter the bread,
sew on a button and make up a bed.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I've grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue
(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
(pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).
The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
and out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
but I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.
Look! Aren't his eyes the most wonderful hue?
(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
for babies grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
